Q: How do I place an order?

Q: Do I have to pay sales tax?
A:

It depends on your tax status and the "ship to" location.

  • If you are a taxable entity and the merchandise is shipped to a Missouri location, Missouri sales tax will apply. Please call for the current tax rate.
  • If you do not meet the above criteria, no taxes will be charged and you will be responsible for any sales or use tax that may apply in your state.
   
Q: How soon will I get my order?
A: Ship time will vary depending on the product you order and the time of year. Many of our items ship within 10 working days. We also have a list of “quick ship” items with shorter order times.

Shipping Information

Q: Do your prices include the freight cost?
A: No, freight costs are not included in the cost of our products. Shipping charges are calculated separately and appear as a separate line item on your order summary.
   
Q: How much are routine shipping costs?
A: UPS — Items that are not heavy (typically under 50-75 lbs.) will ship via UPS. Costs for shipping products via UPS are approximately 15% of the order total. The actual shipping cost is pre-paid by UpBeat, Inc. and included on your invoice. To expedite delivery of your products, please include a physical address (no P.O. boxes).

Truck shipment — Items that are heavy or unusual in shape or size or customer orders that have large total weights, will generally ship via truck. Again, the actual shipping cost is pre-paid by UpBeat, Inc. and included on your invoice. Minimum truck charges may apply and are approximately $70. To expedite delivery of your products, please include a physical address (no P.O. boxes).
   
Q: What if I have special shipping requirements?
A: Special request shipments such as airfreight, overnight, second day, inside delivery, telephone notification before delivery, and re-delivery can be arranged. In some cases, prepayment may be required. Additional charges will apply.

What is "Quick Ship?

A: "Quick Ship" items are UpBeat's products that ship in 15 business days or less. See individual products for details.

What is tailgate delivery?

A: Tailgate Delivery is a common term for standard truck delivery.  The driver will bring the freight only to the back (tail) of the truck.  You are responsible for offloading the merchandise delivered to you.
   
Q: What is lift-gate delivery?
A: Lift-gate delivery is recommended for heavier or larger shipments, where no loading dock is available.  Please note: the lift-gate only lowers the merchandise to street level.  You must then remove the shipment from the lift. Additional charges will apply.
   
Q: What is inside delivery?
A: Inside delivery is recommended in cases when you do not have a person available to offload your product(s) and bring them inside your business or residence. Additional charges will apply.
   
Q: What is residential/limited access delivery?
A: Residential/limited access delivery is recommended for shipment to a home address, or to an apartment or other residence with limited shipping access.
   
Q: What if I am periodically not available at my business and might miss a delivery?
A: Please ask us to notify you before delivery. By doing so, you may avoid additional delivery charges. By requesting “notify before delivery” the freight carrier will notify you approximately 24-48 hours prior to delivery.

Payment Information

Q: How do I pay for my order?
A:
  1. You may use your credit card (VISA, MasterCard or American Express).
  2. You may establish an open account with us. We may ask for 3 credit references and a bank reference. Our payment terms are net 10 days after receiving the invoice.
NOTE: Custom orders require a 50% deposit. Special handling requests may require prepayment.

Q: Is a purchase order required?
A: No, UpBeat, Inc. does not require a purchase order. However, if your business requires POs, UpBeat, Inc. will gladly accept those orders.
   
Q: Can my order be COD?
A: We don't offer cash on delivery (COD) shipments because of the additional charges that we would have to pass on to you. COD shipments often require a redelivery, which is an additional expense. We are pleased to offer "open account" status to almost all who ask and it takes very little time or effort to apply for open account status.
   
Q: What are your payment terms?

NOTE: If your delinquent account is referred to an attorney for collection, reasonable attorney fees will be added to the amount due. Any charges for returned checks will be added to the amount due. No representations are made other than those made by the manufacturer. Terms and conditions are incorporated in every order.

Q: What if I only need one item and it doesn't meet the minimum order requirements?
A: On several items, a small service charge will be added if you order less than minimum quantities.
   
Q: How do I place an order for a custom item?
A: Orders for custom items must be in writing with the copy and/or artwork attached. Copy should be typed or clearly printed. Colors must be clearly identified. A 50% deposit is required on all custom orders. Custom made and special imprinted items are not returnable unless there is a defect in manufacturing.

Returns Information

Q: What is your return policy?
A: Your satisfaction is important to us. We will accept returns of unused products in their original containers up to 90 days from shipping date. Please call for authorization and return shipping instructions. You will be responsible for return shipping charges. Custom made and special imprinted items are not returnable unless a defect in manufacturing is present.
   
A: What if my shipment is damaged in transit?
Q: All shipments are insured against damage in transit. If your shipment shows any sign of visual damage, it should be noted on the freight bill or ticket and signed by the driver. If damage to the shipment is concealed (not visible until the carton is opened), please keep all of the packing materials and the original carton. In either case, please notify UpBeat, Inc. immediately.
